Shadrach Ogie born august 25, 2001 is a talented Irish defender. he began his football journey in the youth ranks of Pike Rovers in Limerick, Republic of Ireland. He continued his development in England, initially joining Hornchurch’s youth academy before making a move to Leyton Orient in 2018.
Ogie’s professional career took off on February 1, 2019, when he signed a contract with Leyton Orient after receiving international clearance from FIFA. His debut for the club came the very next day in a 1-0 FA Trophy victory against Blyth Spartans. He gained valuable experience during a loan spell with Bishop’s Stortford in the Isthmian League.
After Leyton Orient’s promotion to the English Football League, Ogie featured in the 2019-20 season, including an EFL Trophy win against Southend United. Subsequent loan spells with Dover Athletic and Aldershot Town allowed him to further develop his skills and scoring prowess.
In January 2022, Ogie signed a contract extension with Leyton Orient until 2023-24. However, in July 2023, he made a move to Gillingham, and his debut for the club was remarkable, earning him the Man of the Match award in a 1-0 victory against Stockport County. Ogie’s career continues to flourish as he makes strides in professional football.
