Dominic Jefferies, born on May 22, 2002, is a Welsh midfielder currently playing for Gillingham in League Two. Jefferies’ football journey began in Caerleon and Cardiff City’s youth systems before joining Newport County’s academy at 14. He signed a scholarship at 16 and made six first-team appearances in the 2019–20 season, all in cup matches.

After a brief loan spell at Salisbury in early 2020, Jefferies was released by Newport County in June 2020. He joined Salisbury permanently in July 2020 but left in June 2021 after turning down a new contract. Brentford then signed him in June 2021, where he captained the B team and received recognition as the Brentford B Players’ Player of the Year for the 2021–22 season, scoring eight goals in 42 appearances.

In June 2022, Jefferies made a move to Gillingham, where he played 44 games, scored one goal, and earned the Young Player of the Year award during the 2022–23 season. He remains under contract for the 2023–24 season.
